$50M on Opening Day

The latest Star Wars grossed $50M on opening day. We all wish we could do so well with wooden acting, poor dialogue, a plot known in advance but amazing special effects.

The movie has the time-proven plot and character traits that every best-loved story holds. It's a recipe that works; who's to blame them for profiting on the steady stream of genre fans?

I think that Ep.s 1 and 2 proved that it doesn't matter what these films are like, what people want is to revisit the excitment and feelings of childhood joy they experienced when they first saw the original films.

And Ep three is the best of the prequals.
